Introduction
On completion of the Msc in Education Science, students will have the skills to expand their knowledge in the key issues related to education, and educational environment, to contribute to the educational and teaching activities of schools and specialized institutions, to be in charge of groups of pupils and or students, and in particular to those with special needs.
This programme where students are required to demonstrate interpersonal, self-study and research and presentation skills throughout the qualification. Assessments are developed to encourage skills that will provide students with a strong foundation for further advancement in the education Ìýsectors, and practical capacities to be ÌýÌýoperational in education institutions.

Objective of the programme
- To promote an understanding of the body of knowledge in the functional areas of education.
- To provide students with a programme offering a balance of theory, case studies and practical skills that will facilitate students intellectual and professional development.
- To develop students’ analytical tools for decision making in the context of education and of educational environment, through a multidimensional approach
- To equip students with the necessary knowledge of the multifaceted approach to education (psychological, sociological, and institutional)
- To develop skills of leadership, teamwork, supervision and care of the learners; and skills of effective oral and written communication, presentation, and critical thinking
- To furnish students with an understanding of the ability to use the appropriate tools and methods to education practice
- To equip students’ abilities for ethical decision-making
- To provide the students with the appropriate knowledge and skills that make him/her operational in the practical field of education institutions work, and for the follow up of pupils such as pupils with special profiles and pupils with special needs.

The delivery will consist of FOUR components :
- Lecture session
- Tutorial session
- Practical session
- Blended Learning
Lecture Session
Lectures will be of a maximum duration of 3 hours (with a 10–15-minute break during the period) the purpose of a lecture is to provide key information to the students for the subject being taught.
On occasions, lecture exercises are used which require course participants to become actively involved in “learning by doing”, let students take active part in discussing related current topics.
Tutorial Session
Tutorials will be provided through case studies for the students to further discuss and/or undertake the topics previously covered in the lecture sessions.
Students will be given video/written case studies after each lecture topic and work in groups.
Practical Session
Practical sessions are mainly undertaken in the computer laboratories, or workshop activities are set up to enable the learner to reflect on the processes he or she has experienced. Workshops enhance skills development and the acquisition of knowledge. Short presentations alternate with group work. Students spend time working together in small groups, brainstorming, analysing case-studies, carrying out group discussions or group exercises, learner presentations, role play, plenary feedback session.

Pedagogy is rapidly changing. Pedagogy requires meaningful classroom interactions between educators and learners.
To be awarded a Msc, students must gain 120 credit points, that is, pass all modules; studied in Term 1 to 3.
To get your Msc a minimum grade of a C at each module.
